1937-2021.
Jim and family sincerely thank everyone for their messages of sympathy and acts of kindness following Stuart’s passing.
Thanks to those who attended his private service and thanks to Lewis for his sensitive leading of proceedings and to Max for performing the country songs which were so beloved by Stuart.
We wish to express an enormous debt of gratitude to Gore IHC/Idea with whom he made his home for almost sixty years.
The marvellous care provided by Colleen and her wonderful staff has been truly exceptional.
Thanks also to his former flatmates and to his friends at the resource rooms day base with whom he shared many many happy occasions over the years.
For the final two years of his life, he was cared for with compassion by the wonderful management and staff of Resthaven Village, Gore.
Thank you so much Donna.
We really appreciate the attention given to him by all of your nursing staff and your caregivers during that time.
Thank you to Leisa from Southern Funeral Home who came for Stuart the night he died and to Graham for facilitating the funeral service and taking care of the formalities.
Finally, thank you to the people of Gore who accepted Stuart into the community and who, over the years, have stopped to talk with him.
He really enjoyed your friendship and he loved to chat in the days when he used to be out and about around town.
Stuart is now at peace and will rest with his mother and father in Invercargill cemetery.
