It is with much sadness we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, great uncle, and good friend Roger, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, June 8, 2025.

Aged 66 years.

Treasured son of the late Jock and Daphne Strachan.

Beloved brother to Jan McKeown, Lyn Austin, and the late Rex, and Derek Strachan.

Best uncle and great uncle to Kylie, Morgan, Finley, and Neve Potts; Kelvin, Nikki, and Harry McKeown; James, Freya, Scout, and Forrest McKeown; Maxine, Graeme, Jack, and Rex Gannon.

A heart felt thank you to all the staff at Hospice Southland, Resthaven, and Gore Health Ltd for all their care and support.

A service to celebrate Roger’s life will be held on Saturday, June 14, at Southern Funeral Home, Hokonui Drive, Gore at 11am, followed by refreshments.
