The home of Southland Rowing is the Oreti River, 10 minutes out of Invercargill towards Oreti Beach.

It is the training base for around 200 rowers, including Awarua, Invercargill and Waihopai Rowing Clubs.

Riverton Harbour, Lake Hayes and Lake Te Anau are the other bases for Riverton, Wakatipu and Fiordland Rowing Clubs, which are also within the Association's geographical area.
