Passed away peacefully surrounded with love, at Clare House on Wednesday 28th September 2022.

Aged 83 years.

Loved daughter of Lil* and Ted* Payne (Pahia).

Treasured and most loved mother of Nerolie McMillan and Bob Lawrence (Northland); David and Chris Shaw (Melbourne); Alister and Wendy Shaw (Victoria); Ian* Shaw; and Tracey and Murray Patterson (Invercargill).

Loved Grandmother of Haidee; Leanna, Mathew, Ryan; and Crystal.

Great Grandmother of her nine great grandchildren.

Cherished sister and sister in law of Carl*, Marion Calvert and Graham* Watkinson, Norman* and Lesley Payne, and Nalda and Norman Arthur.

Loved Aunty of all her nieces and nephews and loved cousin.

Loved daughter in law of Madge* and Arnold* Shaw and loved sister in law of the wider Shaw family.

Loved friend and companion of Nigel* Saunders (Winton).

Family would like to sincerely thank the past and present staff of Clare House for their love and care of Ruth.

In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Southland would be greatly appreciated and can be left at the service.

A service for Ruth will be held on Monday 3rd October, 1.30pm, All Saints Church, Corner Dee Street and Holywood Terrace, Invercargill.

A private cremation will follow.
