Peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday 19th December 2020, after a short illness; aged 78 years.

Dearly loved husband and soulmate of the late Cindy.

Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Daryl and Michelle (Perth), Mirriam and Julian Peters (Gore), the late Nigel, and Aaron and Kylie.

A cherished Grandad of Ashleigh, and Kara; Megan, Ryan, Demi, and Mitchell; James, and Braxton.

Also a treasured great Grandad of Oscar, Myla, Lucas, George, and Lilly.

A service for Melvyn will be held in the Edendale Presbyterian Church, Melvin Street Edendale, on Wednesday 23 December at 1.00pm, private interment to follow at the Edendale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Southland or Southland Charity Hospital would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

He will be sadly missed.
