Peacefully at Parata Resthome, Gore on Tuesday January 23, 2024.

Aged 89 years. 

Fellow of the NZIF and life member of NZFFA; a true Forester with a lifetime interest in all things trees. 

John loved fishing and duck shooting and developing Purey-Cust Park’s mixed forest.

He was a widely read, generous, wise, and humorous man and an amazing storyteller.

A memorial gathering will be held at Parata Resthome, 39 Kitchener Street, Gore on Monday March 4, 2024, at 1.30 pm.
