Peacefully at Gore Hospital surrounded by family on Saturday, June 7, 2025.

Aged 96 years.

Loved wife of the late Bill.

Dearly loved Mum and mother-in-law of Paul (Gore), Peter and Yvonne (Cromwell), Janice Rabbitt (Gore), Therese and Steve Stephenson (Gore), *Micheal and *Jude, Martin and Michelle (Wanaka), Veronica and Harry Swain (Gore), Kevin and Theresa (Dunedin).

Dearly loved Nanny of her 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Requiem Mass for Irena will be celebrated in The Church Of The Blessed Sacrament, Ardwick Street, Gore on Thursday, June 12, at 1.00pm, leaving thereafter for the Charlton Park Cemetery.

Rosary will be held on Wednesday at 5.00pm.

Donations may be left at the service for Hokonui St John.
