On the 27th of July 2024 Gary passed away after a battle with cancer.

Aged 64 years.

Devoted and dearly loved husband of the late Helen Mason.

A much-loved father, grandfather and father-in-law to Luke, Lisa and granddaughters Chloe and Charlotte (Invercargill), Aston and Ana (Invercargill), Stasha and Jaemin (Wellington), Dorian (Invercargill) and grandsons Tyler and Jamie (Auckland).

Much loved son to the late Mary and Alfred Mason and son-in-law to the late Noeline Gaudin.

Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law to Russell*, Loll & Brian, Marj & Ross, Shirley & Wayne, Sandy*, & Rodney & Alison. Also, brother-in-law to Wayne & Karina, Ray & Cindy, Stewart*, Nola and Dave, Malcolm, & Penny & Malcolm. 

A loved uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many.

A service to celebrate Gary’s life will be held on in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street Invercargill on Friday 2nd August at 1.30pm. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary’s name to the St Andrews Scout Group can be made at the service if you wish.
