Aged 84 years.

Loved and loving husband of Wendy for 62 years.

Loved father and father-in-law of Fiona and Wayne Black (Nelson); Marie*and John Waldron (Alexandra); Rohan and Rhoda Knowler (Clifden); Annabel and Robert Cole (Dunedin); Carmen and Alistair Hope (Middlemarch).

Treasured Grandad Knowler of Oliver and Adam, Giles, Cara and Grady, Bert and Justine, Monique and Tom, Callum and Laurel, Meg and Jonny, Giam, Kevas and Chris, Nikira, Alice, Henry.

Loved brother and brother-in-law of Margaret* and Bruce* McKinnel (Roxburgh); Rex and Heather Knowler (Timaru); Michael and Trish Knowler (Toowomba, QLD); Patrick and Margaret Knowler (Buderim,QLD); Bill* and Beth* Taiapa (Tologa Bay).

John was a much-loved cousin to the extended Knowler and Rohan families.

Requiem Mass for John will be held at St Thomas’ Aquinas Catholic Church, Winton, on Thursday October 26 at 11.00am

Interment will be at the Tuatapere Cemetery, arriving at approximately 2.00pm, followed by refreshments at the Tuatapere Town and Country club – all are welcome.

Rosary to be held in St Thomas’ Church on Wednesday, October 25 at 7.00pm.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice Southland.

The Knowler family would like to thank the staff at Tuatapere and Winton Medical Centres, Waikiwi Gardens and Rowena Jackson for the wonderful caring support that John received over the past 2 years.
