Died at home with his family, after a well fought battle with cancer, on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

He was the loved dad and father in law of Zelia and Jack Grizzo (Frankton), Zachariah (Riversdale), and Zebulon and Halina (Upper Hutt).

Rohan was a proud pop to Zeffren Brian Grizzo.

He was also deeply valued by Zella Downing.

Cherished son of the late Bill and Claire, and big brother and brother in law to Anne Marie and Struan McCrostie (Arrowtown), Lisa and Shane Thompson (Dunedin), and the late Susan.

Rohan will also be missed by his nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Rohan’s life will be held at the Riversdale Community Centre on Friday, May 30, at 1:30pm, followed by interment at the Riversdale Cemetery.

Thereafter the family invites you to gather back at the Riversdale Community Centre to share further memories of Rohan over a few cold beers or a cuppa, and some lamb from The Montana Flat farm.

The family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who cared for and supported Rohan during his final months, and to the army of friends who gave Rohan, what he called, "the best weeks of his life”.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Riversdale St John’s Building Fund at the service.
