A track starting from the south side of the Waiau River at Manapouri, and going through native bush to reach Hope Arm of Lake Manapouri.

Additional hikes from Hope Arm include:

• Hope Arm to Garnock Burn (3-3.5hr)
• Hope Arm Hut to Back Valley Hut (1-1.5hr)
