Sadly David passed away peacefully on Thursday 25 March 2021 at Southland Hospital.

Dearly loved and loving husband of Valmai for 56 years.

Loving Father, Father-in-law and Grandfather of Sharon and Gary Smart, Jason, Shane, and Rebecca Hackett; Quintin and Karen (Queensland); Nathan* and Trish (Kaiapoi), Abbi and Cameron; Selwyn and Tania, Gemma Shirley; Vernon and Chrissy, Samantha and Shontelle Tait, Trissia and Conner Helms.

Great Grandfather of Caden, Malakai, Lucy, Alivia and Cecilia.

A service for David will be in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street Invercargill, on Tuesday 30 March at 1.30pm, interment to follow at the Eastern Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
