On Monday 7 June, peacefully in her sleep after a short illness with her treasured grandson Presley by her side.

Dearly loved and ‘colourful’ mum of Kate and Ben McHugh and mother-in-law to Peter.

Adored Nan to Presley, the love of her life.

Nan to Sooty and Finn.

Daughter of Mary (96) and the late Allan Nicholson.

Treasured and ‘spirited’ sister of Dianne and Marilyn.

Crazy and loved Aunty to Sarah, Laura, Emma, Lydia, and Brad.

Loved niece and cousin.

Funny and loyal friend to so many.

Slipped away just shy of the pension. 

Kathryn’s celebration of life service will start at 12pm, Friday 11 June at Sacred Heart, Waikiwi, followed by a private interment.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Southland would be gratefully received.
