Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Hospice Southland on Thursday June 1, 2022.

In her 91st year.

Dearly loved wife and soulmate of Stanley.

Loved and loving mother and mother-in-law of Donald and Marie, Christine* and Bruce Duncan, Calder and Heather.

Very loved Nan / Nanny of Emma, Alan, Rebekah, Cameron, Megan, and Callum and their respected partners.

Much loved Nanny Gray of Eva, Flynn, Archie, Wilhelmina, Gray and Spencer. 

I would rather have one little rose

From the garden of a friend

Than to have the choicest flowers

When my stay on Earth must end.

I would rather have a pleasant word

In kindness said to me

Than flattery when my heart is still

And life has ceased to be.

I would rather have a loving smile

From friends I know are true

Than tears shed round my casket

When this world I bid farewell and adieu.
