Joyce passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital, on 3 May, 2025.

Aged 96 years.

Dearly loved wife and best friend of the late Alan Gilbertson.

Loved mother and mother-in-law of Anne and Noel (Adelaide), Barry and Helena (Melbourne), Peter and Lyn (Christchurch), Morris and Kyra, Ken and Sarah (Perth), and Jacqui and the late Derek.

Loved sister of Barbara (Nelson) and the late Jon.

She will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Stephanie, Jeffrey, Kelly, Emma, Anthony, Ryan, Sam, Tom, Jared and great-grandchildren Kayleigh, Yasmin, Frankie, Ashton, Deklan, Molly, Evie, Madeleine and Nana Joyce to extended family.

A service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held in First Presbyterian Church, 155 Tay Street, Invercargill on Friday 9 May at 11:00am followed by a cuppa in Stobo Hall before a private ceremony at Southland Crematorium.
