It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Tupuna Moeroa Cuthers at Southland Hospital on the 24th May 2025.

Aged 65.

Truly loved husband and best friend of Tariaere (Tari) Cuthers.

Loved father and father-in-law of Edward and Stacey, and Anthony Cuthers.

Loved uncle of Phil, Dave, & James Jnr Ono.

Loved and loving Grandad of Kalani, Saskia, Paxtyn, Nikora Cuthers.

Loved Grand uncle of Tarani, George*, Kaira, & Nava Ono.

Loved son of Teo Kotai (Jumbo) and the late Ake Taau and his second mum, Maria.

Loved brother of his many siblings, uncles and friends.

A celebration of Punas’ life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, on Friday, 30th May at 11:00am.

A private cremation will follow.
