Andy died in the care of the staff at Windsor Park Care Home, Gore, on 13 April 2021, surrounded by his family.

Much loved husband of the late Catherine.

Dearly loved and respected father and father-in-law of Lynette and Colin Bruce (Gore), Glenda and Alan Clearwater (Lincoln), Doug and Amy (Gore), and Richard and Michelle (Mataura).

He is also a loved and respected Grandad of Josh and Emily Bruce (Wellington), Dave and Suz Bruce (Pukerau), Ben and Ivy Bruce (Invercargill), James and Anne Bruce (Tirau); Katrina and Shane Jack (Lincoln), Deborah and Mark Fraser (Lincoln); Todd and Cherie (Gore); Cam, Duncan, Matthew, and Jesse (Gore).

Loved and respected great-Grandad of his 16 great grandchildren.

Most of all he was best mates with Ghillie.

The family would like to thank the Windsor Park staff for their loving care.

A service for Andy will be held in St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Ardwick Street, Gore, on Monday, 19 April at 1:30pm, followed by a private cremation.

Instead of floral tributes, please give donations to serve the order of St John.

Loved son-in-law of Joe* and Joyce* Hopper (Waipounamou).

A loved brother and brother-in-law of William and Doris Christie (Gore), and Myrene Christie (New Plymouth).

He has been treasured by his brothers, sisters, and their spouses, the late Lillian*, Tom* and Marjorie*, Bob* and Betty*, Walter*, David*; Shirley Speden*, Norman Speden*, Tom Price*, Ken Hopper*, and Shirley Hopper*.
