With love and deep sadness, we announce the passing of Eileen, who died peacefully at home on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Aged 83.

Beloved wife of John for 63 treasured years.

Devoted and much-loved mother and mother-in-law of Christopher and Fiona, Cushla and Tom Dowling, and Timothy.

A cherished Nana to Simon, Nicholas, Maeghan, and Natascha, and a proud great-Nana to Lily.

Dearly loved by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Requiescat in pace.

A Requiem Mass celebrating Eileen’s life will be held at St Mary’s Basilica, 65 Tyne Street, Invercargill, on Friday, January 9, at 1.30pm, followed by the interment at Eastern Cemetery.
