It is with heavy hearts that we announce Marty’s passing (unexpectedly) on Saturday 17 July 2021.

Surrounded by his loved and devoted wife Julie and children at Dunedin Hospital.

Much loved Dad of Graeme, Kyle and Wendy, Nathan and Shayna, Nicole, Marti and Matt.

Much missed Grandad of his 15½ Grandchildren.

Loved son of Pat and the late Geordie Blythe.

Loved brother and brother-in-law of Jimmy and Linda, Billy, and Sally.

Loved son-in-law of Gaynor and Bill Grant.

Loved brother-in-law of Donna and Phillip Shields, Nyla Moyle, Tracey James, Jeanette and Gerald Phillips, Debbie and Stu McKee, Nicholas and Dione Grant, and Barbara Grant.

Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews.

A service for Marty will be held in the West Otago Community Centre, Suffolk Street, Tapanui on Thursday 22 July at 1.30pm.

Followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations may be left at the service for the West Otago St John Ambulance.
