Passed away peacefully at Hawthorndale Care Village.

Beloved husband of Maree for 54 years.

Father and father-in-law of Terry & Trish (Invercargill), and Craig (Melbourne).

Loved Grandad Best of Hannah and Claire (Invercargill) and Alex (Melbourne).

Loved brother and brother-in-law, and uncle to all his nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the staff and management at Hawthorndale Care Village who looked after John in his final hours.

Their kindness and attention was very much appreciated by John’s Family.

In accordance with John’s wishes a private cremation will be held on Wednesday 18th February 2026.
