Peacefully at Southland Hospital after a short illness in her 88th year.

Loved wife of Ted Bennett*.

Loved mother and mother-in-law of Lynette van Geuns, Lindsay Bennett*, Raewyn and Graham* Maha, Hilary and John de Boer.

Dearly loved nana of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Loved friend of handyman Pete.

A service to celebrate Shirley’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street Invercargill, on Friday 4 June at 1.00pm.

Interment to follow at the Eastern Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
