The Aparima Resturant and Bar is a Gastrobar located on Orepuki-Riverton Highway overlooking the Jacobs River Estuary and prides its self on delivering some of the best seafood New Zealand has to offer.


Riverton is the oldest permanent settlement of Southland and one of New Zealand’s oldest towns. In 2011 it celebrated it's 175th anniversary.

Lamb shoulder slow braised, served on parsnip puree with roasted winter veg, green peas and braising gravy (GF)


Oven Baked Blue Cod $35.50

Coconut crusted cod served with green curry coconut sauce on crusted potato and bok choy (GF)


Roasted Pumpkin Gnocchi $29.50

House made pumpkin gnocchi served in a mustard cream sauce with cherry tomato, grilled haloumi, fresh basil on pumpkin puree (V)


Thai Beef Salad $29.50

Sweet soy marinated shredded beef, served on glass noodles with fresh bean shoots, capsicum, carrot, roasted peanuts and a sweet & sour nam jim dressing


Grilled Haloumi Salad $26.50

Grilled haloumi tossed with roasted pumpkin, cherry tomato, mescalin, pepitas, sunflower seeds and a honey balsamic dressing (V)(GF)
