ABBOTT, Ronald 'Lindsay'

ABBOTT, Ronald 'Lindsay'

Died: 31st May 2025

Service: 7th June 2025

Just to let you know I’m gone.

I journeyed somewhere on Saturday 31st May 2025, not sure where to, god only knows.

But it will not be wings or halo.

I hope it is to a babbling brook, complete with sunshine, shelter and grassy banks where I can pit my wits against a wily trout.

If I catch him, I release him, like me Tommy trout is a free spirit.

I just want to say thank you to family and friends for love, support and care over the years.

If you have the time there will be a Celebration of Life Service for me on Saturday 7th June 2025, 10am in J Fraser and Sons Chapel.

Like me, it will dare to be different.

Cheers and cares to all you that have impacted my life.

Kindest Lindsay.

Dearly loved son of the late Ailsa and Ronald Abbott.

Cherished brother and brother in law of the late Lesley and Graeme Hyde.

Dearly loved uncle of Craig and Cindy Hyde, and Gary and Frankie Hyde.

Loved Great uncle of Sam and Nickayla, Jess and Alex, Kyle and Toni, Ashleigh*, Josh and Howie, Jacob and Chantelle; a dearly loved cousin to all.

A Celebration of Lindsay’s life will be held on Saturday 7th June, 10am in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill.

Interment at Eastern Cemetery will follow.

Messages to 55 Inverurie Drive Invercargill or to Lindsay’s tribute page at frasersfunerals.co.nz/tributes where his livestream link is available.
