Set eight months after the Aberfan disaster of 1966 in which 116 children were killed, The Revlon Girl by Neil Anthony Docking, tells the real life story of bereaved mothers.

Each week they meet in a community space to talk, cry, and share their humour without feeling guilty. Feeling they had let themselves go but afraid people would think them frivolous, the women decide to secretly invite a representative from Revlon to come and give them a talk on beauty tips.
