2024 Library Summer Reading Challenge

The Invercargill City Libraries Summer Reading Challenge is back … with Bookopoly!

Designed to encourage kids and teens to keep their reading skills up over the long summer break ready for return to school.

Running from the 1st of December 2024 until the 31st of January 2025, Tamariki and Rangatahi aged between 0 and 18 can complete all 20 reading activities to enter prize draws and earn a free book.

The ILT has sponsored the Summer Reading Challenge this year, so that every child or teen who finishes their pamphlet can pick up a free book to keep!

Entry pamphlets can be picked up from the Invercargill Public Library, The Bluff Service Centre, or download a copy from ilibrary.co.nz
