Fifty-seven pipe bands and over 1500 bandsman will gather on Friday (7 Mar) and Saturday (8 Mar), at the Queens Park Cricket Grounds, for the 2025 New Zealand Pipe Band Championships.
Bands from throughout New Zealand, as well as several from Australia, are expected to attend.
A crowd highlight will be the Street March, which is free to the public and performed on Gala Street on Saturday morning. This event will involve all bands.

Musical Set and Medley events will be held at Queens Park Cricket Grounds on both Friday and Saturday (7-8 Mar), but spectators will be required to pay an entry fee.
This year's event is the second time Invercargill has hosted the championship in recent years. The last time the event was held in Invercargill was 2020.
Invercargill is home to the ILT City of Invercargill Highland Pipe Band, who will field bands in grades one, three, four A, four B and the Juvenile section.
Other Southland Pipe Bands competing this year will include Waimatuku Southern Scenic and Hokonui Celtic.
