Immerse yourself in a relaxed and fun environment as you learn and begin to build on the basics of te reo Māori.
From mastering your pepeha to forming simple sentences and perfecting pronunciation, you'll start (and continue) your te reo Māori journey through play and song.
This is the fifth wānanga in a series held in Fiordland over two years, made possible by the support of the Community Organisation Grants Scheme (COGS).
Your tutors: Sonny Tonihi and Rosina Tonihi. Sonny is the Tikanga Māori Advisor for Te Whatu Ora – Southern District Health Board.
With over 20 years of experience teaching te reo Māori at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa ki Murihiku across Southland and Otago, Sonny and Rosina are valued collaborators with Te Anau Waitangi Charitable Trust and our events.
